Can Paint Correction Remove Scratches?
Paint correction can remove or greatly reduce defects contained within the clear coat. If a scratch has broken through the clear coat into colour or primer, polishing cannot safely erase it and a paint repair may be needed.

The fingernail test is only a clue
A scratch that catches a fingernail is often deep, but proper inspection is more reliable. Focused lighting shows the defect shape, while paint-depth readings help reveal what can be levelled safely.
Defects correction can address
Machine correction is effective on wash swirls, holograms, light scratches, oxidation and some sanding marks. Deeper isolated marks can often be softened so they draw far less attention without sacrificing excessive clear coat.
Safe improvement beats an unsafe promise
We will not chase a defect when the clear coat cannot safely support it. The aim is the best sustainable finish for the paint in front of us, followed by protection that helps preserve the result.
