Yes. Swirl marks are shallow scratches caused by poor washing technique, automatic car washes and dealer preparation, and they sit well within the clear coat. Machine polishing removes them completely in most cases. Deeper random scratches are reduced and refined rather than fully erased, and we tell you what is realistic before starting.

Single-stage correction uses one cutting and finishing step and typically removes around 70% of visible defects — ideal for well-kept daily cars. Two-stage correction adds a dedicated heavy cutting stage before refinement, tackling deeper marring and older paint for a noticeably crisper, deeper finish.

Packages start from £449 and run to £1,395 for the flagship level. The difference is how much paint correction is carried out and the grade of ceramic coating applied afterwards. Price also depends on vehicle size and paint condition, and is fixed and agreed before any work begins.

Most single-stage packages take a full day, while two-stage correction with a higher-grade coating is usually two to three days. We work to the standard rather than the clock and give you a realistic collection window when the car is booked in. Coatings then cure overnight before the car leaves.

Entry-level coatings give around two years, mid-range systems around three, and professional-grade coatings last well beyond that with the right care. No coating makes paint scratch-proof. A ceramic layer adds hardness and slickness that helps resist light wash marring and chemical etching, but it will not prevent stone chips or careless washing damage. Existing swirls must be polished out first, which is exactly why correction comes before coating in every package.

Yes, in almost every case. Coatings bond to and magnify whatever is underneath, so the paint is decontaminated and machine polished to the agreed level first, then wiped down to remove polishing oils. Skipping that step locks defects under the coating for years.
