How Much Does Ceramic Coating Cost?

At The Detailing Autohaus, ceramic coating starts from £600. The final price depends on the paint preparation required, the life of the coating and whether you add glass or wheels-off protection.

What the price includes

A coating is only as good as the surface beneath it. The process includes a safe wash, chemical and mechanical decontamination, paint inspection, the agreed level of machine polishing, panel preparation and controlled application in our Rotherham studio.

  • Paint inspection under dedicated LEDs
  • Preparation matched to the vehicle's condition
  • Panel-by-panel application and levelling
  • Clear aftercare guidance

Why quotes vary

A clean, near-new car may need only light enhancement. A darker vehicle with wash marring, oxidation or sanding marks needs more correction before it is ready to coat. Vehicle size and the selected coating lifespan also affect the final figure.

  • New Car Protection Package: £600
  • Ultimate New Car Protection: £1,000
  • Ceramic glass coating: £149
  • Wheels-off ceramic protection: £200

What a coating does — and does not do

Ceramic coating improves chemical resistance, UV protection, gloss and ease of cleaning. It does not make paint scratch-proof or remove existing defects. Those defects must be corrected before the coating is applied.
